Payment
- A deposit is required to confirm your order which is 50% of the total. The remaining balance is payable on completion of your order, along with the post and packing charge.
- No goods will be dispatched until full payment is received.
- The initial price you receive is an estimate and is subject to change until the design is finalised.
- You can pay by cheque/postal order. Payment through paypal is also accepted for samples.
Proofs and Amendments to Wording
It is crucial to proofread your wording carefully before approving it. It is the client's responsibilty to ensure that all details and spelling is correct. You may be charged additional printing and materials costs if you request an amendment after printing and/or assembly work has begun. If printing has not begun, changes will be accepted without incurring a charge.
Proofreading is best done from a printed copy, not just reading it on screen. You are checking the spelling, layout and that your wedding details are correct. Read it slowly and focus on each word. Pay close attention to times, dates and rsvp information. Then ask another person to double check it, as they may notice something you missed. Finally, decide if you are happy with the layout and font style before confirming your approval.
Amending Quantities Ordered
You may not have finalised your guest list at the time of ordering and therefore want to change quantities after confirming your order. If you need a few extra or a few less items this is usually no problem. However if you dramatically increase your order, you may be required to pay an additional deposit.
Also please be aware that if you dramatically lower your quantities, you will still be charged for the materials as they will have been especially ordered for you. You will also be charged for any completed work or work in progress, even if you no longer require it.
For these reasons, try to be as accurate as possible when estimating numbers. Please read the advice on ordering page. Wedding day stationery (order of service, place cards etc) can be treated as a separate order, as you wont know exact numbers until your guests rsvp.
Variations
Each item of handmade stationery is unique. Therefore there may be variations in the size, colour and pattern of handmade papers and embellishments. These are not flaws but simply the nature of handmade work and will add to the individuality of each piece.
La Carte Boutique reserves the right to substitute materials with similar ones should they become unavailable. You will be notified of any changes to your selected design.
Delivery
The cost of postage and packing will be calculated on completion of your order and added to your balance prior to dispatch. Local collection is also an option.
Your order may be dispatched in either one or two parts, depending on the size of order and when need it. Pre-wedding stationery (Invitations/RSVP cards/save the date cards) can be delivered to you as soon as they are ready and your balance is paid. Wedding day stationery (Order of Service, Menus, Place Cards, Favour Boxes and Table Plan) may be despatched separately at a later time.
Items will be securely packaged and will require a signature on receipt. Alternatively if you live locally you can collect the order (you may still be charged for packaging).
La Carte Boutique does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of goods in transit. If this occurs, please notify me immediately. I can then claim compensation from the courier on your behalf (in the case of damages you must retain all goods and packaging).
Cancellations and Returns
If you change your mind, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund provided materials have not been ordered or work begun on your stationery. For cancellations after this period, you will be liable to pay for any materials ordered and work in progress. Returns will only be accepted if any of your stationery is faulty, which will of course be replaced free of charge. Samples are non-refundable.
